AleXa announces 2024 ‘sick of you’ US tour

Korean-American singer AleXa has announced her brand-new 2024 ‘sick of you’ US tour.

Today (January 11), AleXa announced six dates for “part one” of her upcoming 2024 ‘sick of you’ US tour, which will take place from late-March to mid-April 2024.

The K-pop idol will kick off her tour with a show on March 29 at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in New York City, New York. In the same month, she’ll also play a show in Chicago, Illinois.

In April, AleXa will play concerts in the cities of Atlanta, Tulsa and Dallas. Thereafter, she’ll head to the west coast, wrapping up her tour with a show at the Teragram Ballroom in Los Angeles, California on April 7.

Ticketing details for AleXa’s 2024 ‘sick of you’ US tour have yet to be announced by organiser Studio Pav. Keep tabs on this page for the latest information.

AleXa Announces Dates And Cities For 2022 U.S. Tour

AleXa has revealed the dates and cities for her upcoming U.S. tour!

On August 3 local time, AleXa officially announced her plans for her 2022 tour of the United States, which will take her to eight different cities this October.

After kicking things off in Jersey City on October 18, AleXa will be performing in Puerto Rico on October 20, Atlanta on October 22, Chicago on October 23, Oklahoma City on October 25, Houston on October 27, San Francisco on October 28, and Los Angeles on October 30.

AleXa unveils 'coming soon' teaser for her upcoming U.S. tour

AleXa is gearing up for her first U.S. tour!

On July 23 KST, Studio PAV dropped a 'coming soon' teaser image announcing that AleXa will be heading out on her first U.S. tour later this year. However, exact dates and locations have yet to be disclosed.

Meanwhile, AleXa recently participated in the Korean Cultural Center New York 's Korea Gayoje , where she performed alongside other K-pop acts Brave Girls and Golden Child .

To help narrow your search, you can tell Alexa how many tickets you want to buy, and provide your desired price range.

Make your purchase

In order to complete your purchase, you'll need to enable the Ticketmaster Skill from the Alexa app. Then, you need to link your Ticketmaster account to Alexa, again in the app.

Once you've found the event and tickets you want, you will used your stored payment information on Ticketmaster to complete the purchase. Just follow the prompts Alexa gives you. Once you've finished your order, you'll get a confirmation email just like you would if you bought tickets from the Ticketmaster site or app.

TikTok inked a partnership with ticketing provider AXS to let users of the popular video app discover and buy tickets to live events.

The feature is going live initially in the U.S., U.K., Sweden and Australia, with additional markets to follow at an undetermined date. Now, any certified artist on TikTok can use the in-app ticketing feature to promote their AXS live dates, according to the company.

TikTok has let users in the U.S. purchase live event tickets via a partnership with Ticketmaster since 2022, and last December expanded the Ticketmaster pact to encompass more than 20 new markets, including Canada, Mexico, the U.K., Ireland and Australia.

“TikTok’s partnership with AXS allows us to connect millions of users with legendary artists, venues and festivals, and allows artists to promote their live dates and reach their audience in a whole new way,” said Michael Kümmerle, global music partnership development lead at TikTok. “We are very excited to start this journey with AXS and look forward to supporting the further growth of ticketing on TikTok in the future.”

AXS chief strategy officer Marc Ruxin commented, “TikTok has become one of the most important global platforms for music content attracting an incredible community of artists and fans. Fans have brutal response to Selling Sunset’s Chrishell Stause slashing London show ticket prices

Fans of Chishell Stause have branded the Selling Sunset star as ‘embarrassing’ after tickets for her upcoming tour hit a seat-filling service.

The 42-year-old realtor is due to head to London on April 30 as part of her Up Close and Personal tour.

The one-night-only chat will see Chrishell recounting her troubled childhood as well as exploring her journey to stardom and sexuality in an intimate chat with Jack Remmington and Ash Holme.

The Lambert Jackson-produced evening is being held at the London Palladium later this month and tickets range from £19.50 to £78.00 .

However, one eagle-eyed Reddit user has discovered that admissions for an evening with the Netflix star are currently on sale via Central Tickets.

The latter is a cost-price seat-selling service that sells passes to theatre shows, gigs and performances for discount prices.

On Monday (15 April), one Reddit user took to the platform and posted in the popular Selling Sunset thread.

They shared an image of a screenshot from Central Tickets, which showed an Up Close And Personal ticket up for grabs for £15.

They accompanied the picture with the caption: “Chrishell tickets dropped to £15.”

Following the initial post by user The-1-U-Didnt-Know, fans and critics alike have come out in their droves to debate the low pass price.

Regarding the tickets, one Reddit user wrote: “I like Chrishell (not enough to buy tickets to that) but that’s hilariously embarrassing. Her PR team needs to be fired. I’d be so p***ed, they made her look a fool.”

A second said: “On the proper website none of the tickets are that cheap. That site in the screenshot is a seat filler site with heavily discounted tickets. Her other tickets are £54 roughly. £54 is a bit much though!”

“The Palladium is a huge, iconic venue,” explained another user. “Not an arena but by London theatre standards it’s big.

“It’s not up close and personal at all. Q&A near impossible with some seats. Feels like a poor venue choice by management for this type of show.”

However, others rushed to the Selling Sunset star’s defence, with one writing: “I dunno £15 for a night out in London is cheap ... have a few wines and it would be a laugh.”

Another wrote: “I am convinced that the people who are tracking her ticket prices and seating etc on here secretly want to go.

“Can’t think of any other reason why anyone tracks ‘tickets’. Now shady comments on IG or unfollowing on IG etc that I get for juicy gossip lol but this.”

The Grammy-winning rapper and Grammy-nominated producer announced their We Trust You Tour kicking off this July through the end of summer.

J. Cole apologizes to Kendrick Lamar for 'lame' diss '7 Minute Drill': 'I was conflicted'

'We Don't Trust You' and 'We Still Don't Trust You' vs. Drake: Diss tracks explained

Future and Metro Boomin's "We Don't Trust You," released March 22, and "We Still Don't Trust You," released April 12, unleashed grievances other rappers had with Toronto rapper Drake.

Lamar, Cole and Drake are widely recognized as their rap class' "Big Three," the most recognizable stars in the genre over the past decade. Cole referred to himself, Drake (Aubrey Graham) and Lamar (K. Dot) as the "big three" in modern rap in Drake's 2023 song "First Person Shooter."

Lamar shut down the "big three" line on the "We Don't Trust You" track "Like That." In the song, he called out "First Person Shooter" by name and said "it's just big me" when it comes to rap titans.

Following the diss, J. Cole dropped a surprise album, "Might Delete Later," which included "7 Minute Drill," where Cole alluded to hearing about Lamar's diss, rapping, "I got a phone call, they say that somebody dissing / You want some attention, it come with extensions."

"He still doing shows but fell off like 'The Simpsons,'" the North Carolina rapper continued, adding that Lamar's first album was "classic" and his latest was "tragic."

But two days later,  at his Dreamville Festival,  J. Cole told his home state crowd during a headlining set that his diss track was a "lame" and "goofy" decision, in  videos captured by attendees .

J. Cole later appeared as a guest on the "We Still Don't Trust You" track "Red Leather," a seven-minute song that features an apparent swipe at Drake.

"Kept my nose out the streets, but I love to get a whiff / Of the action, with risk comes attraction / The blicks get to blastin’, I turn into a track star,” Cole raps on the track, who also said that his "story's more clever, my similes was better."

Rapper A$AP Rocky, who is the longtime boyfriend of Drake's ex  Rihanna,  also took shots at Drake on the "We Still Don't Trust You" track "Show of Hands," saying the Canadian rapper's latest music "came and went" and he didn't "trust" him.

The Weeknd joined the band wagon on "We Still Don't Trust You," remarking on the track "All to Myself" that he's glad never "signed (his) life away" to Drake's OVO label. He also took aim at Drake's "shooters," joking that they're too busy "making TikToks."

Future didn't let his features have all the fun. On the track "This Sunday," Future seemingly interpolates the chorus of Drake’s 2016 song "Feel No Ways" by telling his former "Life Is Good" collaborator that he doesn't care if Drake "feel a way" about all the disses.

Drake has yet to issue a formal response to the diss tracks, although a rumored single allegedly called "Push Ups" was leaked on social media Saturday that seemingly addresses Lamar and Metro Boomin.

On Friday, she surprised fans at Coachella when she appeared during Bizarrap’s set to perform their global smash hit “Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53” and “La Fuerte,” both featured on her new album. Before exiting the stage, Shakira teased the tour news to a roaring crowd .

Coachella marks the second time in the last month that Shakira has surprised fans with a showstopping performance.

Last month, following the album release, Shakira shut down New York City’s Times Square, giving a crowd of more than 40,000 fans a peek into the energy of her live shows when she performed at the TSX Stage.

The performance included such iconic hits as “Hips Don’t Lie,” “Te Felicito/TQG” and “Session 53,” as well as “Puntería” and “Cómo Dónde y Cuándo” from her new album.

A Las Vegas residency and a handful of festival headlining gigs wasn’t enough for Maroon 5 this year.

From June 21 through July 3 — sandwiched in between residency and festival dates — Adam Levine and co. are striking out on a mini seven-concert tour with special guest Maren Morris .

Along the way, the “Moves Like Jagger” group are slated to stop into Holmdel, NJ’s PNC Bank Arts Center on Saturday, June 29 and Wantagh, NY’s Jones Beach Theater on Wednesday, July 3.

As of Friday, April 12, tickets are available for all recently announced East Coast shows.

Some are quite affordable, too.

Viagogo boss thinks Bob Marley would have approved of ticket touting that sees fans charged thousands above asking price—‘after some education’

Ticket reseller Viagogo has gotten itself into a legal battle with Ed Sheeran, faced the wrath of the U.K.’s competition regulators , been the subject of a raid on its London offices, and watched on as some of its users were found guilty of millions of dollars worth of ticket fraud.

But ask Viagogo CEO Cris Miller what his hero Bob Marley would have thought about concert tickets being sold for hundreds of dollars more than their initial value, and he is optimistic the reggae legend and political activist would see his side of the argument.

The traditionally press-shy Viagogo boss has been going on the offensive in recent months as the group faces the existential threat of a price cap on ticket resales, which would crush its business model.

Viagogo’s reselling platform has become a bugbear for frustrated music and sports fans who have turned to the platform when they can’t get tickets on initial resale, often forced to pay markups worth hundreds or even thousands of pounds.

Miller was asked by the Guardian whether “One Love” singer Marley would approve of that system, which has become a point of contention among fans and musicians alike.

“I think after some education, yeah, he would,” Miller said.

Ticket resale model in jeopardy

The U.K.-founded ticket seller has been criticized for overseeing a system that returns huge profits to ticket touts, in other words, people who buy tickets from source and sell them secondhand at a steep markup.

Miller told The Guardian that he preferred the term “professional resellers,” while also distancing himself from them by claiming they wouldn’t be considered “business partners.”

Ticket reselling has become a top topic in the last couple of years, as high-profile tours by Harry Styles, Beyoncé, and Taylor Swift have proved fertile ground for ticket touts to extract maximum value from superfans.

Viagogo’s U.S. partner StubHub, which it merged with in a $4 billion deal in 2021, was criticized for allowing resellers to charge up to $35,000 for tickets to Swift’s Eras Tour last year.

Miller is a staunch free marketeer who believes that the exorbitant resale prices simply reflect how much consumers are willing to pay for them and not a failing in his platform. 

“Buyers make their own decisions,” Miller told Fortune in an interview last year. “If they see a ticket up there that’s out of their price range or their comfort zone, don’t buy it.”

That stance is unsurprising, given Viagogo generates revenue by taking a cut of the final sale price of tickets on its platform.

However, that avenue for revenue, and accordingly the group’s IPO prospects, is now in jeopardy. 

Labour leader Keir Starmer, who is expected to become prime minister following a general election this autumn, has vowed to bring in legislation that would cap the price resellers can charge for tickets.

Disagreeing with Miller’s view that the ticket reselling model is fair, Starmer argued that ticket touts cut off access to culture to those on lower income.

However, Miller doesn’t believe this approach would work, arguing it would just encourage a black market for reselling, which could increase the occurrence of scams.

“What happens with price caps is that the highest-demand part of the market, where you might see prices go above the original price, will just get driven underground,” Miller said.  

Whatever Miller’s rationale, it seems fans have been left unimpressed with the resale system that Viagogo has encouraged.

Based on nearly 38,000 Trustpilot user reviews , Viagogo has an average score of 1.7 stars out of 5.

The platform also doesn’t have many fans among artists. 

After a couple was convicted of fraud for creating false identities to buy up a large number of tickets before reselling them on Viagogo, musician Ed Sheeran’s manager said he and his singer had moved against the current resale model.

“Ed Sheeran’s 2018 summer stadium tour was when we really took a stand against online ticket touts,” Sheeran’s manager Stuart Camp told the BBC .

“The low point for me had been one of his earlier Teenage Cancer Trust concerts, where tickets were listed on Viagogo for thousands of pounds, but with none of the money going to charity.”

The answer to the question on the mind of every Swiftie is, yes, tickets can still be found to the remaining U.S. dates on the Eras Tour in 2024. But with her new album “The Tortured Poets Department” dropping April 19, tickets will be going fast.

If traveling to Europe to see a show was beyond your means, you can still choose from Miami, Fla.; New Orleans, La.; and Indianapolis, Ind. Underoath schedules 20th anniversary ‘they’re only chasing safety’ tour.

Underoath has announced a tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of their 2004 album, They’re Only Chasing Safety .

The U.S. leg begins September 18 in Norfolk, Virginia, and wraps up December 13 in Tampa, Florida.

“Twenty. Years. This is going to be like nothing we’ve ever done,” Underoath says. “ They’re Only Chasing Safety in full every night plus *another* set of songs voted on by each city. Every song from every album over the past 20 years will be on the table. Let’s get nuts.”
