1. When do I need to submit my visa application? Answer: You are advised to apply for an entry visa within 30 days prior to arrival in Singapore. It is recommended to submit an application at least one week before a trip during the non-peak season and two to four weeks before a trip during the peak season (i.e. March to May).

2. Does the validity period of visa includes the date of expiry? Answer: The visa validity period is inclusive of the date of expiry.

3. Can the validity period of visa be amended? Answer: The visa validity period cannot be amended once the visa has been issued. You may wish to approach an Authorised Visa Agent to submit a new application.

4. Do I need to apply for a new visa if the visa validity period ends before my return date? Answer: There is no need to apply for a new visa as long as your travel date to Singapore is within the visa validity period.

5. How can I extend my Visa? Answer: There is strictly no extension of visa validity or change of visa type. You can submit a fresh application upon the expiry or upon utilisation of your current visa. However, please note that each visa application is assessed on its own merits.

6. How to check visa validity? Answer: The visa validity is printed on the visa.

7. Where can I download my e-Visa? Answer: You can retrieve your e-visa via the status enquiry with the visa application reference number and travel document number.

8. What if I do not have the visa application reference number? Answer: Visa application reference number is generated on the acknowledge page when a visa is successfully submitted. You may wish to contact the Authorised Visa Agent in which you had submitted the application to for the retrieval of visa application reference number.

9. What is the validity period of a Singapore Visa? Answer: Every application for a visa, including the duration of the visa granted, will be considered on its own merits and subject to approval. Applicants who are applying for the visa online are advised to submit the application about 30 days prior to the intended arrival into Singapore so that the visa validity will be sufficient for the visit.

10. Do I need a visa if I just want to transit in Singapore? Answer: Passengers who have arrived at Singapore Changi Airport and have been issued with their onward boarding passes for connecting flights out of Changi Airport may remain within the Changi Airport transit area until time for flight departure. Passengers who are able to obtain their onward boarding passes from any of the Transfer Lounges within the transit area can also remain in the transit area. All other passengers should exit the transit area as soon as possible. We wish to further highlight that most passengers who are arriving on a Low Cost Carrier (LCC) or connecting to a LCC are required to seek immigration clearance and obtain their onward boarding passes in the respective Departure Check-in Hall. Foreigners who seek immigration clearance will have to satisfy the prevailing entry requirements, which include possessing an entry visa, where applicable. All passengers are strongly advised to liaise with the relevant airlines before embarking on their journeys. For more information on flights connection and transit facilities/services, please visit the Changi Airport Group's website.

11. How do I transfer my valid visa issued on my old travel document to the new one? Answer: You can transfer your valid visa on your old travel document to the new one which you are intending to travel to Singapore with. You may approach one of the Authorised Visa Agents for assistance. Basic supporting documents required from you are:

  • Your old and new travel document (original and copy)
  • Printout of the valid visa
  • Form 14A duly completed and signed
  • Your recent passport-sized colour photograph taken within the last three months. Please see Photo Guidelines for information on photo requirements.

12. What is the difference between Multiple and Single Journey Visa? Answer: If you have been issued with a single journey visa, it only allows you to use the visa once. If you possess a Multiple Journey Visa, there is no limit on the number of times that you can use the visa so long it is within the validity period. Please note that possessing a valid visa does not guarantee entry into Singapore. Visitors have to satisfy the basic entry requirements before they can be considered for entry into Singapore.

13. What is the difference between visa and visit pass? Answer: Visitors must note that Singapore visa is not an immigration pass. It is a pre-entry permission for the holder of a valid Singapore visa to travel to, and seek entry, into Singapore. Possessing a valid visa does not guarantee entry into Singapore. Visitors who are eligible for entry will be issued with visit passes upon arrival. These visit passes determine the number of days that visitors are allowed to stay in Singapore and it is not tied to the validity of your visa.

14. How do I appeal against my visa rejection? Answer: You are able to submit the appeal within one month from the date of the visa rejection. Applicant can submit an appeal through the Authorised Visa Agent in which the application was submitted to. Please note that the processing time for appeal is generally 14 working days depending on its complexity. Each appeal is assessed and considered on its own merits.

15. I want to know the reason for my visa rejection. Answer: ICA do not disclose the reason of rejection due to confidentiality of information. We seek your understanding on this matter.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is a ministry of the Government of Singapore responsible for conducting and managing diplomatic relations between Singapore and other countries and regions.

Single Entry and Multiple Entry Visas

U.S. visas in the passports of non-U.S. citizens will give them permission to travel to a U.S. port of entry but do not guarantee entry into the country. Visas will be issued to foreigners by consular officers abroad after they review their applications for U.S. visas and after making sure that they are admissible into America.

Immigration authorities at the ports of entry will allow them to enter the U.S. after verifying their eligibility. Immigration officers will also stamp their passports and indicate the date on which they will need to leave the country.

The visa expiration date and the length of time they are permitted to stay in the U.S. are both different. The expiration date of the visa and the date on which it was issued can be found on the visa. Visa validity is the time period between the date on which the visa was issued and the expiration date of the visa. During that period, visa holders can travel to U.S. ports of entry.

There are two types of nonimmigrant visas being issued, single entry and multiple entry visas. Based on the nationalities of the applicants, single or multiple entry visas will be issued to them.

A single entry visa can be used by the visa holders to travel to a U.S. port of entry just one time. They can travel to the U.S. any time before the visa expiry date. Once they leave the U.S. they will not be able to travel again to the U.S. with the same visa even if it is still valid.

Multiple entry visas can be used to travel to U.S. ports of entry as many times as the visa status. The number of times the visa holders can travel to the U.S. with those particular visas will be denoted under “entries” on the visas. These visas will be valid for a certain period of time which is known as the visa validity period. During this period, the holders of these visas can travel to the U.S. multiple times for the purpose the visas were issued. However, they must not exceed the number of entries allowed on their visas.

Living in Singapore is something that many people dream of because life here is considered by many to be life at its best.

Singapore is an efficient and clean Asian city that retains much of the charm of its British colonial days while offering a cutting-edge, well-developed environment.

Singapore’s position on the southern tip of Malaysia has allowed it to develop into one of the most important trade and finance centers in Asia, and today, it is the fifth wealthiest country in the world according to GDP.

It also has the fourth-largest foreign exchange trading center in the world.

Singapore’s population of 5.08 million people (June 2010) primarily consists of people of Chinese (70%), Malay, and Indian backgrounds.

Singapore is a city of robust laws , which are adhered to strictly. While this has given it a reputation as an authoritarian state, the reality is that it keeps the city safe, clean, and well-ordered.

The main religions followed in Singapore are Buddhism, Islam, Hinduism, Christianity and Tao.

However, the reliable and inexpensive broadband services entail that expatriates can easily overcome this obstacle.

The official language of Singapore is Mandarin Chinese , which is the Singaporean Government’s language. However, English is the most common language and is the language of business and trade.

Children will generally be taught in English in schools but will also be expected to learn Mandarin . Other common languages in Singapore include Tamil, Malay, and Cantonese.

Many Singaporeans speak a language that has come to be known as Singlish . Singlish is a mixture of English and other languages and can be difficult for English speakers to understand.

What’s the Difference Between a Single and Multiple Entry Visa?

Multiple Entry Visa

Whether you’re planning a quick getaway or an extended trip, it’s important to know the difference between single and multiple entry visas. Knowing the difference will help you choose the right visa and avoid any potential issues when traveling. It will also help you plan your trip better. In this article, we’ll take a look at the key differences between single and multiple entry visas.

What is a Single Entry Visa?

A single entry visa allows you to enter a country one time. Once you leave the country, you will not be able to return without getting a new visa. This type of visa is ideal for short trips and is usually valid for a period of three to six months.

If you’re planning a trip to a country that requires a visa, be sure to check the visa requirements before applying. Not all countries offer single entry visas. In some cases, you may need to apply for a multiple entry visa instead. Plus, keep in mind that a single entry visa may not be valid for the entire duration of your trip.

For example, if you’re planning to stay in a country for six months, but the visa is only valid for three months, you’ll need to leave the country and reapply for a new visa before returning.

What is a Multiple Entry Visa?

A multiple entry visa allows you to enter and exit a country multiple times. This type of visa is ideal for people planning extended trips or who need to travel frequently for business. Multiple entry visas are usually valid for one year, although some countries offer valid visas for two or five years.

Keep in mind that not all countries offer multiple entry visas. In some cases, you may need to apply for a single entry visa instead. So, be sure to check the visa requirements before applying. Moreover, if you’re planning to travel frequently between two or more countries, it might make sense to get a multiple entry visa for each of the countries. It will save you from applying for a new visa every time you travel.

What’s the Difference Between Single and Multiple Entry Visa?

The main difference between a single and multiple entry visa is how many times you’re allowed to enter the country. A single entry visa allows you to enter the country once, while a multiple entry visa allows you to enter and exit the country multiple times. Depending on your travel plans, one type of visa may be better suited than the other.

To Conclude

There you have the key difference between single and multiple entry visas. Be sure to check the visa requirements of your destination country before traveling to make sure you have the right type of visa. You may even consult with a professional passport and visa service in Roswell to ensure you have everything covered.

What is a Single Entry Visa?

What is a multiple entry visa, difference between single entry visa and multiple entry visas, which countries offer both single entry visa and multiple entry visa options to travelers, tips to help choose the right visa for your travel needs.

  • Single Entry Visa
  • Multiple Entry Visas

Understanding the differences between them - single entry vs multiple entry visa can help you make an informed decision that aligns with your travel needs.

A single entry visa permits you to enter a country only once during the visa's validity period. Once you exit the country, the visa is no longer valid for re-entry. This type of visa is suitable for travelers with a fixed travel itinerary or those visiting a specific destination for a single trip.

Highlights of Single Entry Visas:

  • Cost-effective for one-time trips.
  • Simpler application process with less documentation.
  • Suited for fixed itineraries and specific travel purposes.
  • Less scrutiny at borders for a smoother entry.
  • No need to plan for re-entry, simplifying travel arrangements.
  • Easier visa extensions for longer stays if needed.

A multiple entry visa allows you to enter and exit the country multiple times within the visa's validity period. This type of visa is beneficial for travelers who intend to visit multiple destinations or need to make frequent trips for business or leisure.

Highlights of Multiple Entry Visas:

  • Flexibility for frequent travel within the visa's validity period.
  • Economical for business travelers and those visiting the same country multiple times.
  • Time-saving with a single visa covering all entries.
  • Ideal for multi-country itineraries and extended stays.
  • Simplified travel planning without re-entry considerations.

Now that you are equipped with the single and multiple entry visa meaning and their difference it is now time to learn which countries offer both single and multiple entry visas to travelers.

Many countries offer both single and multiple entry visas. However, visa policies and requirements for these undergo consistent iterations over time. Here is a list of some countries that commonly offer both types of visas:

  • United States
  • United Kingdom
  • Schengen Area countries (A group of 26 European countries that have abolished passports and other types of border control at their mutual borders)

To select the appropriate visa type, consider your travel plans carefully. Evaluate factors such as the number of countries you'll visit, the duration of your trip, and your travel frequency. If you're planning a single, one-time trip, a single entry visa may suffice.

However, if you foresee multiple entries or visits to various countries, a multiple entry visa would be more practical. Below mentioned are a few tips that could ease your decision for choosing the right visa

  • Research visa requirements for your destination countries.
  • Plan your travel itinerary and determine the number of entries required.
  • Consider the cost-effectiveness of each visa type.

A stateless person is someone who is not a citizen of any country. As the UN Refugee Agency ( UNHCR ) portrayed, a stateless person is someone that no State accepts as their national. Of course, most people are nationals of at least one country by birth. This could be either because of their place of birth (e.g. Canada ) or their parents. However, some people get caught in legal loopholes and remain stateless. How could a stateless person travel from one country to another country? While some permanent solutions for this problem, a Single Journey Travel Document (IMM 5565) could temporarily resolve it.

What is an SJTD (IMM 5565) anyway?

Imagine you need to travel to Canada. On the other hand, an immigration officer agrees to issue you a TRP . However, you do not have a passport or a valid travel document. Consequently, the officer attaches the TRP counterfoil to a single-page document. IRCC calls this document IMM 5565 or, as mentioned earlier, the Single Journey Travel Document or SJTD. Of course, they also affix your photo to it and indicate a validity period. Therefore, you could travel to Canada within the validity period only.

Generally speaking, whenever you do not have a passport or travel document, an officer may use an SJTD (IMM 5565) to allow you to travel to Canada. Of course, they use it for special circumstances. For example, imagine a person who has fled their country because of their political views. They may refer to UNHCR, and ultimately IRCC resettles them to Canada . However, if the person does not hold a passport, the officer may issue a Single Journey Travel Document. Consequently, they may travel to Canada with the help of the SJTD.

If you have an immigration-related question, fill out the following form. Of course, I’ll do my best to answer general questions under the Q&A category . A general question is like the one I answered here (i.e. What is a Single Journey Travel Document (IMM 5565 – SJTD)?). However, if the question is case-specific, I’ll advise you to book a consultation session .

What is the difference between a single and a multiple entry visa?

Help Centre what do you need help with?

The main difference between these two visa types is that a single entry visa allows entry to Canada for one-time only and a multiple entry visa allows entry many times .

Which type of visa to get

You don’t need to choose. A multiple entry visa is what all visa applicants are automatically considered for. We will review your application and issue you a visa depending on your situation.

Multiple entry visa

While valid, a multiple entry visa will let you travel to Canada for six months at a time as many times as you want. It will be valid for up to 10 years or one month before your passport expires, whichever is shorter. You must arrive in Canada on or before the expiry date on your visa.

Single entry visa

A single entry visa lets you travel to Canada only one time. For instance, you may only be eligible for a single entry visa if:

  • you are eligible for a fee-exemption and the purpose of your entry to Canada is limited (such as, for an official visit by a foreign national)
  • you are taking part in a one-time special event in Canada
  • there are approved country-specific procedures or guidelines in place.

In most cases, once you have left Canada, you will need a new visa to enter Canada again.

You won’t need a new visitor visa to return to Canada if you are travelling directly to the United States (including its Territories and Possessions) or St. Pierre and Miquelon.

New entry requirement now in effect

Visa-exempt foreign nationals need an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to fly to or transit through Canada by air. Exceptions include U.S. citizens and travellers with a valid Canadian visa. Canadian citizens, including dual citizens , and Canadian permanent residents cannot apply for an eTA.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the multi & single entry permission.

Ireland has two visa categories: Multiple Entry visas and Single Entry visas. These visas are also called Single Journey Entry visas and Multi-Entry visas. Whether you are visiting Ireland for a short vacation or coming to work in the country, you need to know the categories and how they apply. These apply to those from visa-required countries.

The single entry visa permits foreign nationals to travel to Ireland once during the visa’s validity period.

On the other hand, a multiple entry visa permits a foreign national to travel to Ireland on multiple occasions during the validity period, as long as their stay is within the confines of Irish immigration law. That means, if you have a short stay visa of 90 days, you can’t stay in the country for 90 days, leave and re-enter shortly after for another 90 days even if you have a multi-entry visa.

These visas have varying eligibility criteria. When making a choice, you also have to decide if you want a Short Stay C visa or a Long Stay D visa .

Short Stay Single Entry Visa and Multiple Entry Visas

You can apply for a single-entry or multiple-entry Short Stay ‘C’ visa. When filling out your application, you must indicate that you want a multiple entry visa.

Multiple entry short-stay visas aren’t always issued; the applicant’s travel history must be favourable to obtain one.

A compliant travel history is one where you observed the conditions of previous Irish visas and did not break Ireland’s laws. Even if you meet that requirement, you may not still get a short-stay multiple entry visa.

Your purpose in Ireland is also a factor. Suppose you haven’t travelled to Ireland previously. In that case, a multiple entry visa may be approved if the immigration officer sees a need for it, such as if you need to travel to Ireland regularly for business meetings or to come to Ireland for a business meeting then travel to another country for another meeting and back to Ireland.

Multiple entry visas can come with different validity periods, including one year, two years, three years, and five-year validity.

Applicants who can get the longer durations have proven they have reliable travel history complying with immigration rules, including not overstaying their immigration conditions. One of such conditions is that Short Stay ‘C’ visa holders cannot make Ireland their permanent home with their visa and cannot stay for more than 90 days.

That means if you enter Ireland and stay for 90 days, you can’t leave and come back immediately for another 90 days in the same 12 month period. Also, you cannot stay for more than 90 days just because you have a valid multi-entry visa. If you defy a rule, you may be denied entry at the port of entry or be refused future visa applications.

To obtain a single entry or multiple entry visa, you need to provide adequate evidence to support your application. We can assess your eligibility, advise on the supporting documents, and help fill out a high-standard application to maximise your chances. Call us today on (+353) 061 518 025 .

When filling your visa application form, you can select single entry or multiple entry.

If you are granted a single entry visa, you must apply for re-entry permission in Ireland if you plan to travel in and out of the country within the first four months of your arrival while awaiting your Irish Residence Permit card.

To obtain your IRP card, you must register your permission with your local registration office after you arrive in the country. You should register this regardless of if you have a single entry or multi-entry permission.

If you already hold the IRP card when you need to travel and have a single-entry visa, you don’t need to apply for a multiple entry or re-entry visa.

If you don’t have one of those and you leave the country, you can apply for a multi-entry visa or another visa from outside Ireland.

Please beware that those below 16 years of age aren’t issued an IRP card, so their parent or guardian must apply for a multiple entry visa before they come to Ireland or a re-entry visa before they leave Ireland. The alternative is to apply for another visa outside Ireland after they leave.

We can help you obtain a Long Stay single entry or multi-entry visa. We provide services that cover an assessment of your eligibility, advise, and help with completing a high-standard application. Call us today on (+353) 061 518 025 .

Considerations for a Re-entry visa for those below 16 years

To obtain a re-entry visa for a child below 16, the parent or guardian must be a non-EEA national and include their own valid Irish Residence Permit in the re-entry visa application.

If the parent or guardian is moving to Ireland with their child, they must register their permission at the local visa office in Ireland to obtain their own Irish Residence Permit.

The IRP takes time to process, and the child cannot get a re-entry visa without the parent or guardian having an IRP card. So, if there are plans to travel out of Ireland quickly after entering the country, it’s recommended that you apply for a long stay multi-entry visa for the child in the first place.

Contact our expert immigration lawyers for assistance with applying for a single entry or multi-entry visa. Contact Us

A multiple entry visa has several requirements. In addition to the requirements we list below, you still need to qualify for the type of visa you apply for, such as an employment visa . Successful Ireland multi-entry visa applicants usually:

  • Legally lived in Ireland with a valid visa previously
  • Entered Ireland multiple times in the last year
  • Intend to travel to Ireland for short and frequent periods, such as recurring business meetings
  • Intend to travel to and from another country from Ireland

If you want to apply for a multiple entry visa Ireland, ensure you gather evidence to show you need to enter Ireland multiple times rather than a single entry. Such evidence can be a passport or travel document, previous visas, and a letter from the company in Ireland with which you have a meeting.

Contact us today for assistance with acquiring a multi-entry visa. Call (+353) 061 518 025 or contact us online via our live chat or contact form .

Applying for a single entry or multi-entry Irish visa is done during the regular visa application process.

You start the application for your Employment or Work visa, Business visa , Family reunification visa or other visa using the AVATS website. While filling out the forms, you will be asked to select a ‘C’ or ‘D’ visa and whether it is for a single stay or multiple trips.

While applying, you also need to state the purpose of your trip and provide your passport details. Your passport should have at least six months of validity left before its expiration date.

You must provide substantial evidence to support your application, whether for a single journey or multiple visits to Ireland. The visa officer will assess your travel history and evidence to decide which visa (if any) to approve. Note that entry into Ireland is at the discretion of immigration officers at the point of entry even if you have valid visas or entry permits.

The visa fee for a multi/double-entry visa & single-entry permission differs. Here are the costs:

  • Single Entry: €60
  • Multiple Entry: €100

Beware that the difference will not be refunded if you pay the multiple entry visa Ireland fees but are granted a single-entry visa.

Some individuals are exempt from paying the visa fees, including the spouse, widow/widower and children of Irish nationals. Some family members of EU/EEA/Swiss citizens are also exempt.

If you are from the following countries, you are exempt from the visa fees: Bosnia, Côte d’Ivoire, Ecuador, Indonesia, Jamaica, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Montenegro, Morocco, North Macedonia, Peru, Serbia, Sri Lanka, Tunisia, Uganda, and Zambia.

Immigrate to ireland, irish immigration stamps, visa stamp 0, residency in ireland, ireland business visas, ireland family visas, can i visit northern ireland with an irish visa.

Northern Ireland falls under UK immigration law. You may visit Northern Ireland from the Republic of Ireland if you have a valid visa from the Republic of Ireland (to enter the Republic of Ireland) and a valid UK visa (to enter Northern Ireland). Ensure that you apply for a multiple entry Irish visa if you intend to return to the Republic of Ireland after you visit Northern Ireland.

What is the processing time for Irish visas?

Your visa will take anywhere from a few weeks to months to process. The Irish immigration authorities aim to process visa applications within 15-20 working days. However, your application may take longer due to varying circumstances. Most Short Stay ‘C’ visas typically take between two to three weeks, while a few Long Stay ‘D’ visas may take up to a few months. It is best to apply for your visa at least 8 weeks before you intend to travel.

What are my options if my Irish visa application is refused?

If your Irish visa application is refused, you will receive a letter or email from the Irish immigration authorities stating why your visa was denied. You can appeal the visa decision within two months from the date on your letter of refusal. You can only submit an appeal once per visa application refusal, and appeals come at no additional visa fee.

Before you appeal a visa decision, we recommend that you discuss with an Ireland visa lawyer who would assess the refusal to find out if you have any chance of success with a visa appeal or if submitting a fresh application would be better in your case. Call us today on (+353) 061 518 025 for assistance.

What is an Ireland D visa?

The Irish D visa or Long Stay visa allows a visa holder to stay in Ireland for more than 90 days. These visas are usually given to those coming to work, study, live or join their family members in Ireland. This differs from Short Stay visas, which are for less than 90 days of stay and include the Irish transit visas, holiday visa, tourist visa, and volunteer work visa.

Singapore visa.

what is single journey visa

If you are planning a trip to Singapore and you need a visa.

A Singapore visa allows the holder to enter a Singaporean point of entry, where they will be checked by the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) officers. The ICA decide whether the visitor meets the requirements for entry into the country.

You have to apply for a Singapore visa at least 30 days before you arrive in Singapore.

But keep in mind that just because you have a Singapore visa, it does not mean you will be allowed to enter since the Singapore visa is just pre-entry permission.

If you meet the entry requirements, however, you will receive a Pass which allows you to enter Singapore and stay for the duration that the Pass is issued. For example, for a Singapore tourist visa, you will receive a Visit Pass, usually valid for a maximum of 30 days within a 90-day period.

What is the Difference Between Multiple and Single Journey Visa?

  • The Single Journey Visa can only be used once. After you leave Singapore, you cannot travel to Singapore with that visa again, even if you still have remaining days.
  • The Multiple Journey Visa can be used multiple times for as long as it is valid.

Types of Visas and Passes for Singapore

As mentioned before, Singapore visas only allow the holder to travel to Singapore not enter. So, while there are only two types of Singapore visas, Multiple and Single Journey Visa, there are different types of Passes.

  • Short Term Visit Pass , which allows the holder to enter Singapore with the purpose of a short social visit, for tourism, or medical reasons.
  • Work Passes and Permits. This is what would otherwise be called a Singapore work visa. The holder of a work permit or employment pass can legally take up work in Singapore.
  • Dependent’s Pass , available to the family members of Employment Pass. It allows the holder to remain in Singapore for as long as the EP holder does.
  • Long-Stay Visit Pass, available to the family members of EP holders who do not qualify for the Dependent Pass.
  • Student Pass. This is the Singapore student visa, available to foreign students who want to pursue higher education in Singapore.
  • Visa-Free Transit Facility – a Singapore transit visa available only to nationals from certain countries. It allows them to leave the transit area of the airport and stay in Singapore for up to 96 hours while they wait for a connecting flight.

  • Copy of birth certificate (for minor applicants)
  • Proof of accommodation
  • Digital copy of the last traveled exit stamp on your passport (Bangladeshi citizens who have previously traveled to Malaysia only)

Once the Malaysia single-entry visa has been approved, the applicant will receive a copy sent to an email address they provided during the application process.

Upon arrival at Malaysian border control , the traveler will be required to present the following documents alongside their passport to gain access to the country:

  • A printed copy of the Malaysia single-entry visa
  • Confirmed return flight tickets
  • Proof of accomodation in Malaysia, e.g hotel reservations
  • Proof of sufficient funds to cover the trip (either cash, a credit or debit card, or travelers checks)

How to Apply for Malaysian Single Entry Visa

Those eligible to apply for the single-entry visa are able to do in just a few minutes through the online visa Malaysia application form . Applicants are required to complete the form with basic personal, passport, and travel information , and to answer a few security-related questions in order to submit the application.

It is also necessary to pay the single entry visa fee using a valid credit or debit card before submitting the form. The supporting documentation, such as the photograph and flight details, can either be uploaded when submitting the application, or at a later date.

When completing the application, it is necessary to ensure that all of the information is correct and matches the details of the applicant’s passport. This is because even small errors are likely to result in days in receiving the eVisa, or denial of the application.

An approved single-entry eVisa for Malaysia allows holders to enter and exit the country though any of the international airports and seaports in Malaysia. Visa holders are simply required to present a printed copy of the eVisa longside their passport and the required supporting documentations at immigration in Malaysia to gain entry to the country.

Journey’s “don’t stop believin’” recognized by forbes as officially the biggest song of all time.

You’ve heard it literally everywhere since the 80’s: on the radio of every car you’ve ever owned, at every major sporting event you’ve attended in the last 20 years (including a live performance by the band at this year’s NFC Championship Game betweenthe Detroit Lions and San Francisco 49ers), sung by Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin, and Mary J. Blige in the film “Rock Of Ages,” and covered by the cast of the tv show “Glee.” You heard it and then stared at a black screen in horror for a full 10 seconds wondering whether your DVR wasn’t set to record the full episode, and then had it running through your head while you argued with friends over whether Tony Soprano got whacked in the diner or not.

And now, Journey ’s timeless rock anthem “ Don’t Stop Believin ’” has officially been declared the “ Biggest Song of All Time ” by Forbes. According to the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America), the hit rock song likely heard by everyone around the world is now an 18-times Platinum-certified single.

Released in October 1981 for their seventh studio album Escape through Columbia Records, “Don’t Stop Believin’” quickly became the band’s signature song. Critical acclaim was instant, with Billboard praising the "fluid guitar and vocal.” AllMusic declared "Don't Stop Believin'" a "perfect rock song" and an "anthem", featuring "one of the best opening keyboard riffs in rock." Neal Schon, founder and lead guitar of Journey wrote the instantly recognizable bass line, and keyboardist and rhythm guitar Jonathan Cain had kept the song title from encouragement his father gave him as a struggling musician living on Sunset Boulevard. Decades after its release, the song became the best-selling digital track from the twentieth century, with over seven million downloads.

You can catch the legendary group’s co-headlining stadium tour with Def Leppard this summer. They will be joined by fellow Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductees Steve Miller Band , Heart and Cheap Trick (see cities below). Promoted by AEG Presents , the 24-city tour kicks off at Busch Stadium in St. Louis on July 6, with stops at venues such as Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Rogers Centre in Toronto, Oracle Park in San Francisco, and Citi Field in New York, before finishing at Coors Field in Denver. Tickets available at www.defleppardjourney2024.com .

The enduring anthem “Don’t Stop Believin’” has garnered myriad achievements, including being selected by the Library of Congress for preservation in the United States National Recording Registry as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant,” becoming 10x Platinum in Australia, 7x Platinum in New Zealand, 4x Platinum in the UK, and 2x Platinum in Denmark, and in 2021 receiving the GRAMMY Hall of Fame award. In 2021, it was ranked #133 on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.

Wells Fargo has made its official debut in the travel rewards scene with a brand-new credit card — and an improved loyalty program to boot.

As the more sophisticated sibling to the no-annual-fee Wells Fargo Autograph℠ Card , the new Wells Fargo Autograph Journey℠ Visa® Card * The information for the Wells Fargo Autograph Journey℠ Visa® Card has been collected independently by Blueprint. The card details on this page have not been reviewed or provided by the card issuer. comes with a $95 annual fee and impressive earnings across all things travel. While the card is only available at select Wells Fargo branches starting March 9, 2024, it will soon be available nationwide (and online) on March 20, 2024.

We’ll dive deeper into the card’s offerings and its key differentiators from the competition in our full Wells Fargo Autograph Journey card review.

Wells Fargo Autograph Journey card basics

  • Annual fee: $95.
  • Welcome bonus: 60,000 points after spending $4,000 in purchases in the first three months of account opening.
  • Rewards: 5 points per $1 on hotels, 4 points per $1 on airlines, 3 points per $1 on other travel and dining and 1 point per $1 on other purchases.
  • APR: 21.24%, 26.24%, or 29.99% variable APR on purchases and balance transfers. An intro balance transfer fee of either $5 or 3% of the amount of each transfer, whichever is greater, applies for 120 days from account opening. After that, a fee of up to 5% for each balance transfer, with a minimum of $5, applies.
  • Recommended credit score: Good to excellent.
  • Does the card offer preapproval? No, but the issuer does offer pre-qualification.
  • Other benefits: $50 annual statement credit for airfare purchases, trip cancellation and interruption protection, travel and emergency assistance services, secondary auto rental collision damage waiver, lost luggage baggage reimbursement, access to roadside dispatch, travel accident insurance and cellphone protection.

Wells Fargo Autograph Journey card review

In an era where we’re continuing to see issuers increase their annual fees, the Wells Fargo Autograph Journey is easy on the eyes (and your wallet) with a down-to-earth $95 annual fee.

This metal card is a fantastic traveler’s card as it gives you the freedom to book flights, hotels, or other travel-related activities and earn bonus rewards virtually anywhere you go. This is an important differentiator, as many rewards cards require you to use a specific travel portal in order to earn bonus points or miles.

For instance, the Wells Fargo Autograph Journey offers a $50 annual statement credit for airfare purchases which can be easily used at virtually any airline of your choice. The ever-popular Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card — with an identical annual fee — also offers a $50 statement credit, but it can only be used when booking hotel stays specifically through Chase Travel.

With the initial list of six transfer partners, Wells Fargo is entering the competitive travel rewards space. While its programs are limited for now, we can expect to see more value added as Wells Fargo signaled in a press release their plans to introduce more travel partnerships down the line. For now, there’s still tremendous value to be found with airlines spanning all three major airline alliances (Oneworld, SkyTeam, and Star Alliance) and one hotel program.

While this credit card may not give you access to airport lounges, airline upgrades or other swanky travel benefits, it’s an economical choice for travelers solely focused on making the most of their trip expenses.

The Wells Fargo Autograph Journey is also one of the best credit cards in case of a rainy day, as it offers complimentary travel protections with high coverages, including trip cancellation and interruption insurance (up to $15,000 limit), lost luggage reimbursement (up to $3,000 limit), and cellphone coverage (up to $1,000 limit with a $25 deductible). These underrated benefits make the Wells Fargo Autograph Journey even more valuable for the frequent traveler. Overall, it’s a welcome addition to the travel cards arena, with plenty of value for a reasonable annual fee.

  • Maximize your rewards on all travel purchases: With its high rewards rates on booking not limited to the issuer’s travel site this card can help you rack up a large haul of points.
  • Easy-to-use $50 airfare credit: Whether you’re buying airfare or paying for seat assignments and checked luggage, cardholders will enjoy an annual $50 statement credit for eligible purchases.
  • Travel transfer partners are limited for now : There are currently five airline and one hotel loyalty partners, but Wells Fargo says to expect more to come shortly.
  • No bonus points on other popular everyday categories: While this card offers generous points on dining, it comes with a fairly standard flat rate on all other purchases such as gas, groceries and other everyday spending.
  • No elite travel perks: The main event with this card is its points potential. There’s no lounge passes or elite status boosts with hotel or car rental programs like you might find with more premium travel cards.

Wells Fargo Autograph Journey card rewards

The Wells Fargo Autograph Journey card earns an outstanding 5 points per $1 on hotels, 4 points per $1 on airlines, 3 points per $1 on other travel and dining and 1 point per $1 on other purchases. There’s no limit to the amount of rewards you can earn, and you’re not limited to using a travel portal to earn these points — unlike other competing cards.

The introductory welcome bonus is 60,000 points after spending $4,000 in purchases in the first three months of account opening. At the bare minimum, these points are worth $600 but could be maximized even further by leveraging Wells Fargo’s new transfer partners.

Starting April 4, 2024, cardholders will be able to transfer points to these select partners: Aer Lingus AerClub, Air France-KLM Flying Blue, Avianca LifeMiles, British Airways Executive Club, Choice Privileges, and Iberia Plus. All points will transfer at a 1:1 rate, with the exception of Choice Privileges, where cardholders can transfer 1 Wells Fargo point and earn 2 Choice hotel points.

Points are worth a flat 1 cent apiece otherwise for several other redemption options:

  • Redeem to account.
  • Redeem to account automatically ($25 increments).
  • PayPal Pay with Rewards.
  • Gift cards (minimum $10).
  • Redeem for purchases on statement credit (minimum $1).
  • Wells Fargo travel portal bookings.

Using government data and other publicly available information, we estimate that a household in the U.S. that would be in the market for this card has around $25,087 in annual expenses that can be charged to a credit card. Here’s how our sample household’s rewards could break down:

Our sample cardholder earned 40,945 rewards points annually, which is worth $409.45 when redeeming to your Wells Fargo account, gift cards, or even travel bookings through Wells Fargo’s portal. However, price-conscious fliers know you can receive exceptional value from travel transfer partners. Here are a few examples of ways to maximize Wells Fargo’s transfer partners:

  • Book flights between the East Coast and Madrid, Spain, in business, for just 34,000 Iberia Avios and $280 in taxes and fees.
  • Book flights between the West Coast and Hawaii, in economy, for just 16,000 British Airways Avios and $5.60 in taxes and fees.
  • Book hotel nights at thousands of properties worldwide starting at 8,000 Choice Privileges points.

In all three examples above, you’d achieve way greater value than redeeming your points at a flat rate of 1 cent apiece. This is why it’s nice to have the flexibility of transfer partnerships to take your rewards even further.

Wells Fargo Autograph Journey card perks

The Wells Fargo Autograph Journey card comes with some of the best-in-class travel protections offered by any card — even those that charge much higher annual fees. That’s because it’s branded as a Visa Signature card, which grants important coverages that could potentially save you money on a wide range of things.

You’ll get access to Visa Signature® concierge services, the Visa Signature Luxury Hotel Collection with extra perks, and emergency cash disbursement and card replacement. Other travel coverages include trip cancellation and interruption protection, travel and emergency assistance services, auto rental collision damage waiver (secondary coverage in the U.S.), lost luggage baggage reimbursement, roadside dispatch, and travel accident insurance.

Notably, Autograph Journey cardholders can get reimbursed up to $15,000 for lodging, flights, and activities if the trip is interrupted for a covered reason due to trip cancellation and interruption coverage, which is one of the highest limits we’ve seen on any travel card.

Last but not least, the Autograph Journey is a natural fit for those who hold other eligible Wells Fargo cards as you’ll be able to pool the rewards. This can be a lucrative rewards strategy if you pair the Autograph Journey with the Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card , which earns 2% cash rewards on purchases. All the rewards can be combined and used to book travel, either directly through Wells Fargo or by transferring to one of its airline or hotel partners.

Wells Fargo Autograph Journey card drawbacks

While the Wells Fargo Autograph Journey card comes with top-tier travel protections, it falls short in terms of everyday coverages. We’d expect to see things like purchase protection or extended warranty, which are offered by competing cards and catered more to everyday scenarios. That said, cellphone protection is a valuable perk to have, so the importance of these benefits will depend on your lifestyle needs.

It’s also worth noting that the auto collision damage waiver provides secondary coverage in the U.S., meaning the benefit won’t kick in until you pay the deductible from any other rental car insurance you may have. The Autograph Journey’s similarly-priced competitor, the Chase Sapphire Preferred, offers primary auto rental coverage.

How the Wells Fargo Autograph Journey card compares to other travel cards

Wells fargo autograph journey card vs. chase sapphire preferred.

The Chase Sapphire Preferred is well-known for its rewarding perks for a $95 annual fee. If you’re deciding between the two $95-annual-fee cards, pay close attention to the earning rates. The Chase Sapphire Preferred is more suitable for everyday purchases, as it offers 5 points per $1 on travel purchased through Chase Ultimate Rewards®, 3 points per $1 on dining, select streaming services, and online grocery purchases (excluding Walmart, Target and wholesale clubs), 2 points per $1 on all other travel purchases and 1 point per $1 on all other purchases. On the other hand, the Wells Fargo Autograph Journey Card is a better earner for travel purchases.

Another notable difference between the two cards is that with the Chase Sapphire Preferred card you can redeem your points to book travel through Chase for 25% more value. So, 60,000 points will be worth $725 when used this way. Chase Ultimate Rewards® is one of the most powerful rewards currencies as it can be transferred 1:1 to over a dozen airline and hotel partners, with domestic airline partners like United MileagePlus and Southwest Rapid Rewards. The better choice for you will depend on if you value the redemption options on the Sapphire Preferred more than enhanced earning opportunities on the Autograph Journey.

Wells Fargo Autograph Journey card vs. Wells Fargo Autograph℠ Card

For those staunchly opposed to annual fees, the Wells Fargo Autograph Card is the foundational level travel card in the Wells Fargo Rewards program. With no annual fee, the card is a fantastic earner across diverse categories, earning 3 points per $1 at restaurants, travel, gas stations, transit, popular streaming services and phone plans and 1 point per $1 on other purchases.

The Wells Fargo Autograph card is also one of the best no-annual-fee cards for travel on the market, between its broad elevated rewards categories and the ability for users to transfer their points to Wells Fargo’s airline and hotel partners. But frequent travelers will likely get more value out of the high rewards on travel offered by the Autograph Journey, even with its $95 annual fee.

There are several travel cards with $95 annual fees, and the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card * The information for the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card has been collected independently by Blueprint. This Capital One card offers the benefit of simple rewards: 5 miles per $1 on hotels and rental cars booked through Capital One Travel and purchases through Capital One Entertainment and 2 miles per $1 on other purchases.

Capital One miles can be transferred to more than a dozen airline and hotel transfer partners, which includes some overlap to British Airways Avios, Avianca LifeMiles, among others. These miles can also be redeemed for any travel purchased within the past 90 days on your statement credit at a rate of 1 cent apiece.

Is the Wells Fargo Autograph Journey card worth it?

The Wells Fargo Autograph Journey card is one of the best new travel cards to hit the market. The $95 annual fee is justifiable after considering the $50 annual statement credit for airfare purchases. Not to mention, frequent travelers can accrue a pile of points in no time by leveraging the rewards rate on their trip expenses. Hopefully, we’ll see Wells Fargo continue improving its transfer partner roster, which will add even more value to the new Wells Fargo Autograph Journey card.

The Wells Fargo Autograph Journey card is right for you if:

  • You’re a frequent traveler who flies often and stays at hotels regularly and you want a card that won’t break your budget.
  • You want access to robust travel protections and cellphone protection — perks that are often found on more premium rewards cards.
  • You’re an existing Wells Fargo customer and want to level up your rewards game with access to new transfer partners.
