  • Annapurna Circuit Trekking

Annapurna Circuit Trekking

Annapurna region is best described as the most happening incentive trekking destination of Nepal. The Annapurna Circuit Trek has been proved as a highly praised and spectacular trekking route in the Annapurna region since it opened to foreign trekkers in 1977. This three weeks trek starts right from Besishahar and goes along the Marshyangdi River, with great view of Manashlu and Himal Chuli to the east. This magnificent trek leads you to the fine village inhabited by a wide diversity of people from different ethnic groups, offering spectacular and majestic view of the white Himalayas. As it continues to the north of the main Himalayan range on to the high and dry Tibetan Plateau, the scenery is equally breathtaking.

The highest point of the trek is Thorungla pass at the top of the valley at 5416m high. Due to the difficulties of crossing the pass, the circuit is usually walked in a counter clockwise direction. Traveling clockwise the longer ascent and shorter descent from west to east is too much for many peoples to manage in one day.

As we descend to the west at Muktinath from Manang, we continue to the the barren Tibetan like village of the kali Gandaki – the world’s deepest gorge passes between the giant Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountains. After you cross the Thorung La pass from Manang to Muktinath the final seven days of the circuit trek are the same as the Jomsom Trek from Pokhara, but in reverse.

Annapurna Base Camp Trekking

Annapurna Base Camp Trekking

Annapurna base camp trek is famous for trekkers. The principal peaks of the western portion of the great Annapurna Himal, including Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, Fang, Annapurna, Ganagapurna, Annapurna 3 and Machhapuchhare, are arranged almost precisely in a circle about 10 miles in diameter with a deep glacier-covered amphitheater at the center. From this glacier basin, known as the Annapurna Sanctuary, the Modi Khola knifes its way south in a narrow gorge fully 12,000 ft. deep. Further south, the gorge opens up into a wide and fertile valley, the domain of the Gurungs. The middle and upper portions of Modi Khola offer some of the best short trekking routes in Nepal, and the valley is located so that these treks can be easily combined with treks into the Kali Gandaki region to the west. In spite of the great heights of the surrounding peaks and ice walls, the valley floor between 12,000 and 14,000 ft. can provide comfortable camping spots in good weather.

The above itinerary is a guideline and standard pattern which we provide you. This trekking can be modified according to your time and requirements.

  • Your standard meals (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) during the trekking.

Everest Base Camp Trekking

Everest Base Camp Trekking

It will give us enormous pleasure to introduce you to an astounding view of the world’s highest peak. Perhaps in viewing Everest in this way, you will be fulfilling a long held desire. Certainly you will never be quite the same again. Ever since the days of early climbing expeditions, this 8,848m mountain has had a lure of its own, drawing climbers to scale it and trekkers to gaze on its icy faces. It easy to see why the trek to the base camp of Mount Everest has become one of the most popular routes in Nepal.

We start our trek from Lukla after a 30 minute flight from Kathmandu. When we land at that tiny airstrip, the adventure really begins. During trekking, we spend several days moving through the homelands of the Sherpa people, and will see Buddhist monasteries and close up views of Mt. Everest and neighboring Ama Dablam, considered by many to be among the most beautiful mountains in Nepal. We spend 2 nights at Namche Bazaar, the bustling market town in the heart of Sherpa country, and at Pheriche see a cluster of houses set among the high summer grazing pastures of the region. We spend the time in Namche Bazaar exploring and acclimatizing, which is an important factor in your enjoyment of the trek.

People who have fully acclimatized may trek to the Everest Base Camp but without doubt, for many people the main highlight will be the magnificent views which unfold from the summit of Kalapathar – the extradinary ice sculptures of the Khumbu Glacier, Nuptse and the south-west face of Everest itself.

  • Airport pick up and drops by private car/van/bus.
  • Two night’s standard accommodation in Kathmandu (on the arrival day and after the trekking).
  • All necessary paper works and national park entry permits.
  • Domestic airport pick up and drop by car/ Flight Ticket (LUK-KTM-LUK) / domestic airport Tax.

Our Tour Package Not Included:

  • Food while you are in Kathmandu.
  • Hot shower during the trekking.

Nepal Mountain flight, Mountain flight In Nepal, Nepal Mountain Flight Information – Welcome Nepal Treks

Mountain Flight in Nepal

For those who are restricted by time or other considerations from going trekking, there are mountain flights that offer a panoramic encounter with the highest peaks on earth. The plane departs from Kathmandu and flies alongside the Himalaya to give you eye-level views of the snow peaks and then brings you back in one hour. Cruising close to the awesome massifs of rock and ice, the flight presents a mind-boggling sight. As the aircraft takes off and heads towards the east, you don’t have to wait too long to find out what’s in store for you. First to your far left, you see Gosaithan, also called Shisha Pangma, standing at the majestic height of 8,013m. Immediately to the right of Gosaithan, there appears Dorje Lhakpa (6,966m), a mountain that looks like the number 8 lying down and covered with snow. To the right of Dorje Lhakpa is Phurbi-Chyachu, which looms over the Kathmandu Valley.

As the plane glides along, the mountains come closer and closer. Next on the vision is Choba-Bhamare, the smallest one of the lot at 5,933 m but singularly stubborn as it has never been climbed. Then appears the mountain the mountain that is not only prominent in sight but also in spirituality Gauri-Shanker. Lord shiva (Shanker) and his consort Gauri are said to protect this mountain, at the proud height of 7,134m, and the summit had a history of unsuccessful attempts till 1979. Gauri-Shanker is sharp and very conspicuous during th amountain flight. As the plane moves towards the land of rising sun, the eastern Himalaya, a succession of glorious mountains follow. Melungtse, a plateau-like mountain, stretches up to 7,023m. Chugimago at 6,297 m is still a virgin, waiting to be climbed. At 6,956m, Numbur mountain resembles a breast, the maternal source in the sky providing pure milk Sherpas of the Solukhumbu. Next is Karyolung, an intensely white mountain that at 6,511 m gleams with the rising sun. Cho-Oyu is the sixth highest mountain in the world. Reaching a height of 8,201 m, it appears stunningly beautiful from the aircraft.

Tihar Festival in Nepal– A Five-Day Celebration in Nepal

Nepal, a land rich in cultural diversity and traditions, celebrates various festivals throughout the year, each with its unique significance and rituals. Among these, Tihar, also known as Deepawali or Yamapanchak, stands out as one of the most widely celebrated and cherished festivals. Lasting for five days, Tihar is a festival that not only illuminates the country with lights but also fills the air with joy, music, and vibrant festivities.

The Significance of Tihar:

Tihar holds immense cultural and religious importance in Nepal. The festival is dedicated to various animals and birds, acknowledging their roles in human lives and expressing gratitude. Each day of Tihar is dedicated to honoring different creatures such as crows, dogs, cows, oxen, and, on the final day, the bond between brothers and sisters is celebrated.

Kaag Tihar (Day 1 – Crow Puja):

Kaag Tihar

Kaag Tihar, also known as Kukur Tihar, is a significant day during the Tihar festival in Nepal. This day is dedicated to the worship of crows, which are considered sacred messengers in Hindu mythology. Kaag Tihar usually falls on the first day of the Tihar festival, which is a five-day celebration observed by Hindus in Nepal.

Rituals of Kaag Tihar:

Feeding Crows:

Early in the morning, people prepare a special mixture of rice, grains, and sweets. They place these offerings on a designated area, often on the rooftop or a courtyard.

Tika and Garlands:

Crows are attracted to the food, and as they come to partake in the offerings, people observe and consider their presence auspicious. In some households, people even mark the crows with a small tika (a red vermillion mark) on their foreheads and offer garlands made of marigold flowers.

Prayers and Mantras:

While making the offerings, individuals may recite prayers or mantras seeking blessings for their families and acknowledging the significance of crows in Hindu mythology.

Symbolic Gesture:

The act of feeding and honoring crows on Kaag Tihar is symbolic. Crows are believed to be messengers between the living and the dead, and their presence on this day is considered propitious.

Significance of Kaag Tihar,Hindu Mythology:

In Hindu mythology, crows are associated with Lord Shani (Saturn), the god of justice. Feeding crows is believed to bring protection from negative energies and to appease Lord Shani.

Yama and Kaag:

According to one legend, Yama, the god of death, took the form of a crow to approach his sister Yamuna. Therefore, crows are revered during Tihar, and offering them food is seen as paying homage to Yama.

Messenger of Yama:

Crows are also considered messengers of Yama, who is said to send them to Earth to carry messages between the living and the deceased. This connection reinforces the importance of crows during Kaag Tihar.

Cultural and Symbolic Significance,Gratitude to Nature:

Kaag Tihar is not only a religious ritual but also a way of expressing gratitude to the natural world. It symbolizes the interconnectedness of all living beings.

Harmony with Animals:

By honoring crows and other animals during Tihar, Hindus emphasize the importance of living in harmony with nature and recognizing the sacredness in all living creatures.

Family Bond:

Tihar is a family-centric festival, and each day holds significance for various members of the family. Kaag Tihar marks the beginning of the festival and sets a positive tone for the days to come.

Kaag Tihar, with its simple yet meaningful rituals, reflects the deeply ingrained cultural and spiritual values of the people of Nepal. It serves as a reminder of the interconnectedness of life, the reverence for nature, and the belief in the divine presence in all living beings. As crows soar through the sky on this auspicious day, the atmosphere is filled with a sense of sacredness and the beginning of the joyous Tihar festival.

Kukur Tihar (Day 2 – Dog Puja):

Significance of Kukur Tihar,Dogs in Hindu Mythology:

Holi is a popular festival celebrated in Nepal, which falls on the full moon day of the Nepali month of Fagun. Also known as the festival of colors, it is a time when people come together to forget their differences and enjoy the day by smearing each other with colored powders and water. Holi is a celebration of spring, love, and the triumph of good over evil.

The festivities of Holi begin on the night before the main day with Holika Dahan. This is the time when people light bonfires and gather around to perform rituals and offer prayers. The bonfire signifies the destruction of evil and the triumph of good over evil.

On the day of Holi, people gather in public places and smear each other with colored powders, water, and flowers. People of all ages, genders, and backgrounds come together to celebrate this festival, making it a symbol of unity and harmony.

In Nepal, Holi is celebrated with great enthusiasm and is an important festival for the Nepalese people. The streets are filled with people drenched in colors, dancing, and singing to the beats of drums and traditional music. The celebration of Holi is also accompanied by traditional Nepalese delicacies, such as gujiya, mathri, and thandai, which are shared among friends and family.

One of the unique features of Holi in Nepal is the addition of mud to the colored powders. This is done to keep the skin cool and protect it from the heat of the sun. As a result, Holi in Nepal is also known as Pahachare, which means playing with mud.

Overall, Holi is a festival that brings people together and spreads joy and happiness. It is a time when people forget their differences and celebrate the beauty of life. If you are in Nepal during Holi, make sure to join in the festivities and experience the magic of this colorful festival.
