Skillet, formed in 1996, are an American Christian rock band hailing from Memphis, Tennessee. The band were tanked in the Hardest Working Bands of 2011 due to their intense touring schedule.

The band, consisting of the married couple John and Korey Cooper, lead vocals, bass, and rhythm guitar, keys, and backing vocals respectively, have sold well over 2million albums in the US. Their other band members, Seth Morrison and Jen Ledger fill in the sound with drums, vocals, and lead guitar. With eight studio albums under their belt, the band have been nominated for several awards, including Grammy nominations, and their album Awake placed at number 2 on the Billboard 200 as it entered the chart, and their album Comatose was certified Gold.

Although the band have been through several line up changes, they have remained consistent and haven’t slowed their intense touring schedule. Band members Cooper and Sterots who formed the original line up met through tours with their own bands and began collaborating before forming the first generation of Skillet. Over the years, throughout the changes, the bands sound has developed and evolved, but maintains their original undertones, never straying from their Christian rock vibe and message.

The crossover of Christian music and rock makes the sound accessible to the masses, and has gained the band much credibility and critical acclaim over the years. As well as headlining their own tours, the band have toured alongside other artists such as Three Days Grace and Seether.

Live reviews

Ever been to a Skillet concert?

I have!!!! Last year at Soulfest 2013 the last night my friend Kim and I went and I have to say I loved it and enjoyed their energy. Playing under the stars in Gilford New Hampshire they were on fire. There were 10,000 screaming people there, people even brought skillets!!!!! They have excellent pyro they set off during their songs but that is not all, they reach people who believe in God and who might be struggling with their belief. Some of the songs they sang off their new album called Rise were American Noise, and Sick of it. American Noise was my favorite song because they set off fireworks over the stage. Some of the other songs they played were awake and alive and rebirthing which they also used pyro for, but their main focus isn't about setting off pyro every night or how good it looks, it is about God and reaching people of all ages. Skillet has eight albums out, two of them receiving Grammy nominations. They were formed in Memphis Tennessee. If you have not been to a Skillet concert then I recommend you go to one and enjoy the show! I did.

Skillet was amazing. They featured a surprisingly intense guitar playing, and their addition of violin and cello was awesome. They opened up with 'Hero' (my fave song) and closed with another great hit. They were the first band I ever saw to use pyrotechnics, which was impressive. I was not as big of a fan of the proselytizing between songs, or the slower songs in the middle of the set, as their singer really can't sing melodic songs that well (which he admits) not that it stops him. I'd enjoy them more on a non-religious bill (like maybe Uproar Fest) more since hearing preaching was a waste of my time as a non-religious fan of their music.

Went to the show not really having any expectations but left impressed. The band had great energy on stage and the flowed through to the crowd. During songs like Monster the whole floor was jumping, which from the balcony was really cool to watch.

Also, first show at the venue and was really impressed. Nice intimate venue where you can get a good view of the stage from almost anywhere.

All in all a great show in a great venue, would definitely do it again and recommend it to others.

Skillet sounded amazing live! They played good songs, introduced me to some of their songs I'd never heard before, and performed a lot of old favorites as well. I loved the songs with the cello and piano in them, that was a creative idea on their part. John, Korey, Jen, and Seth are extremely talented people and I'm glad I got to go see them perform live. I'll definitely go to one of their concerts again if I get the chance. :)

The group was great. Impressive energy and Good feeling with the audience. The organisation was the worst I have seen. Only one entry with 3 people.1to check the ticket and 2 for security check. Which resulted in an never-ending queue. Inside no place for children So if you want to bring your child to a concert don't go there. And in the end the people there were very unfriendly. That was my last concert there.

I have never seen Skillet live before. I have listened to their music for years so I was hoping that they would be good, but instead they were great, exciting and put on a very amazing and energetic show! I hope to see them again many more times in concert. Everyone in the group sounds and plays just like they do on their records, nobody has lost their original voice or instrumental talent.

I saw Skillet on the Carnival of Madness tour in 2013 and they did an amazing job! It's hard to compete with performances from Papa Roach and Shinedown, but Skillet made all panheads proud with their performance! Elevating platforms with a screen that played their music videos in the background! Plus the violinists looked awesome! I am looking forward to my next Skillet concert now!

The two-time Grammy Award -nominated Pandora Billionaires Club members and multi-platinum rockers have an undying spirit that has humbly asserted an affirmed them as one of this generation's most successful rock acts. However, as all classic underdog stories do, it happened quietly under the radar. By 2019, they not only garnered a pair of Grammy Award nods and sold over 17 million albums worldwide, but they also took home a Billboard Music Award for the double-platinum "Awake" . Its breakout single "Monster" is five times platinum and remains "one of the most-streamed rock songs of all-time." 2016's "Unleashed" bowed at No. 3 on the Billboard 200. Hitting No. 1 on Rock Radio, the lead single "Feel Invincible" cracked 643 million global audio streams and went double platinum. THEORY OF A DEADMAN released its latest album, "Dinosaur" , in March via Roadrunner .

"Dinosaur" , THEORY OF A DEADMAN 's follow-up to 2020's acclaimed album "Say Nothing" , was produced by Martin Terefe ( Jason Mraz , YUNGBLUD ) and recorded in Sweden at Atlantis Studios , made famous by ABBA . The 10-track collection showcases THEORY 's signature wit on "Two Of Us (Stuck)" , a breezy piano-laden breakup bop that takes a hard left from the refrain of the Grover Washington, Jr. and Bill Withers classic "Just The Two Of Us" . Elsewhere on the album is the gritty "Medusa (Stone)" and the aggressive "Get In Line" .

THEORY OF A DEADMAN is Tyler Connolly (lead vocals, guitar), Dave Brenner (guitar, backing vocals), Dean Back (bass) and Joey Dandeneau (drums, backing vocals).

Tyla Cancels 2024 Tour and Reveals She's Been 'Suffering with an Injury That Has Tragically Worsened'

The Grammy-winning "Water" singer said she's "heartbroken" and plans to be "ready to return safely onstage this summer"

Leon Bennett/Getty

Fans of Tyla will have to wait a bit longer to see the Grammy winner live.

On Thursday, the "Water" singer canceled her upcoming debut concert tour in a social media post and revealed she's been dealing with the lasting effects of an injury.

"As much as this is something I would rather have dealt with privately, it's important that I share what I have to share with you today. For the past year I've been silently suffering with an injury that has tragically worsened," wrote Tyla, 22. "I've seen doctors and specialists with high hopes but the pain has only become more agonizing as has the severity of the situation."

The South African performer continued, "I am absolutely heartbroken to have to say this but as of right now I won't be able to proceed with the tour. In consulting with medical professionals it's become increasingly clear that continuing any festival or tour dates would jeopardize my long-term health and safety."

"Words cannot describe my frustration at this pivotal point in my career. So please know that my team and I are working diligently on a spectacular show for you as soon as I am recovered and ready to return safely onstage this summer," added Tyla.

She concluded the note by letting North American fans know their "tickets will automatically be refunded," while international customers will receive more information from wherever they purchased tickets.

Frazer Harrison/Getty

Tyla's self-titled debut album is set for a March 22 release, one day after the tour was scheduled to launch in Norway. The string of concerts would've included dates in cities including Paris, London, Seattle, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Boston, Toronto and more before wrapping in Minneapolis on May 28.

According to her statement, fans can keep an eye out for "new dates and information."

Last year, Tyla shot to international fame with her hit single "Water," which earned the star her first-ever Grammy Award for best African music performance in February.

In a November 2023 interview with PEOPLE , she spoke about developing her sound based on popular genres from her home country, including "Afrobeats, amapiano" and "house Kwaito" as well as American influences like Michael Jackson , Rihanna and Aaliyah .

"I knew that I wanted my culture in [my music]. I made my first amapiano song  'Getting Late'  and added pop and R&B melodies to it," said Tyla at the time. "With 'Water' I'd describe it as the perfect blend. Being from South Africa is the reason why my sound is what it is."

Busta Rhymes cancels all 2024 Blockbusta tour dates a week before kickoff

Busta Rhymes was set to embark on a 24-date Blockbusta tour, but it has been cancelled based on updates on Ticketmaster.com .

Every concert, from the March 13 opener in San Francisco to the April 21 closing show in the rapper's hometown of Brooklyn, is listed as cancelled on the concert ticketing site.

USA TODAY has reached out to Rhymes' reps and Live Nation , which announced the tour in November 2023.

Previously, Rhymes had been on 50 Cent's The Final Lap tour , which ended in December. Before heading out on that tour, Rhymes detailed in Men's Health magazine how he had lost 100 pounds to improve his health after suffering what he described as "felt like I was having like an asthma attack – but I don’t have asthma."

Sea.Hear.Now festival: Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, Noah Kahan to headline

He lost more weight while touring with 50 Cent, Rhymes said in November 2023 while promoting the release of his "Blockbusta" album, Complex reported .

The multiplatinum rapper, songwriter and record producer – known for songs such as “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See” and "Woo-Hah!! Got You All in Check" – had been honored at the BET Awards in June 2023 with a lifetime achievement award. Late last month, he performed at a joint The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and Spotify event benefiting Musicians On Call (MOC) at newly opened venue The Atlantis in Washington DC.

Busta Rhymes' Blockbusta tour canceled. What should ticketholders do?

If you are holding tickets to Rhymes' tour, there should be an update coming from Ticketmaster about rescheduled dates or refunds.

Marilyn Manson

[Trigger warning: this article contains descriptions of domestic violence, as well as sexual and physical abuse.]

Marilyn Manson announced his first live dates in nearly five years on Friday (March 8), marking the shock rocker’s return to the road after more than half a dozen women accused the him of sexual and emotional abuse. The news came in an X post in which Manson revealed that he and Slaughter to Prevail will be hitting the road this summer/fall for a 30-date arena/amphitheater tour with Five Finger Death Punch slated to kick off on August 2 at Hersheypark Stadium in Hershey, PA.

A Timeline of Abuse Allegations Against Marilyn Manson

Trending on billboard.

The singer was sued over allegations of sexual assault against a minor in January 2023, in which the “Jane Doe” claimed Manson groomed and sexually assaulted the then-underage girl early in his career. The graphic details of that Doe suit closely match the allegations from a number of the other women who have made claims against Manson, including that the singer subjected them to “ hostile and verbally abusive behavior ,” as well as racially charged language mixed with the sharing of intimate personal details.

After initially declining to name Manson as her abuser, Wood posted an Instagram statement in Feb. 2021 in which she wrote that “he [Manson] started grooming me when I was a teenager and horrifically abused me for years. I was brainwashed and manipulated into submission. I am done living in fear of retaliation, slander or blackmail.” Among her horrifying claims were that Manson would “draw swastikas over my bedside table when he was mad at me” and that he would allegedly tie the actress up and torture her ritualistically, lashing her to a “kneeler” bench and hitting her “over and over” with a Nazi whip from the Holocaust before shocking her welts and private areas until she broke the bench in half. Following Wood’s claims four other women came forward with similar allegations against Manson in a  Vanity Fair article.

The “Antichrist Superstar” singer has been off the road since the final August 18, 2019 date on the Twins of Evil: Hell Never Dies joint tour with Rob Zombie and hasn’t released new music since his 2020 We Are Chaos album.

The Doobie Brothers to Release Their First Album with Michael McDonald in 44 Years as They Reunite on Tour

T he "Listen to the Music" band reunited in 2019 for their 50th anniversary tour, which has continued into its third year of touring

Fans of The Doobie Brothers don’t just have 2024 tour dates to look forward to.

The legendary rockers reunited with their core lineup in 2019 for a 50th anniversary tour that launched in 2021 after being delayed due to the pandemic, and have remained out on the road ever since. Having recently announced a massive string of 2024 dates , the group now featuring co-founders Tom Johnston and Pat Simmons, as well as longtime members Michael McDonald and John McFee, will also release a new album — marking their first with McDonald, 72, in 44 years.

Simmons, 75, and Johnston, 75, revealed their plans to release their 16th studio album and follow-up to 2021's Liberté in an interview with Billboard .

Related: The Doobie Brothers Announce 38-City Tour Set to Kick Off in June

The two guitarists/vocalists expressed excitement about making new music with the former Steely Dan member, who was in The Doobie Brothers from 1975 to 1982 before officially rejoining nearly four decades later for the 50th anniversary tour.

“It’s very exciting,” Simmons told the outlet. “At one point I said, ‘Hey, we’re doing all these dates ... As long as we’re doing this it would make sense to do a record. I think people would really get a kick out of that.'”

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers also spoke about how fulfilling it’s been to join forces in the studio with the keyboardist after so long, as he last appeared on 1980’s One Step Closer and hadn’t been on an LP with Johnston since 1975’s Takin’ It to the Streets . “[Johnston and McDonald] never really got a chance to interact in this way before, so it makes me happy to see that happening,” Simmons shared. “It’s more than the sum of our parts, I think.”

Although a title hasn't been announced and there’s no official release date, Simmons confirmed that “the songs are done” and revealed that he feels as though the project is about halfway towards completion.

Details are slim regarding what fans can expect from the new tracks, although there is at least one collaboration in the works. Billboard reports that a song called “Walk This Road” features lead vocals by McDonald and Johnston, as well as a guest performance by R&B/soul legend Mavis Staples .

It’s unclear if the “Listen to the Music” band will play new material out on the road, but they’ll be setting out on a 38-date North American tour later this year. The group will be playing shows in a handful of cities that they missed in recent years on their trek from June 15 until Aug. 30.

In addition to the live shows and forthcoming new music, McDonald will also soon release a memoir . Set for release on May 21, the book is titled What a Fool Believes and named for The Doobie Brothers’ Grammy-winning song.

The legendary songwriter collaborated on the memoir with actor Paul Reiser , and the two opened up about their collaboration to PEOPLE when the cover art was revealed late last year.

“The thing that was the most daunting was wondering if there ever even was a story there,” McDonald said. “Because my story really, I've always felt, existed more in the people I worked with. That was really basically my story. It wasn't really so much about me as my good fortune to work with a lot of different people.”

He continued, “But as we kind of moved along, the story emerged for me, and I think for the first time, I understood my own story a little better on a more personal level.”

Sublime With Rome — which currently has no members of the original ska band — is embarking on a farewell tour. This comes after the founding members of Sublime announced their rebrand with singer Jakob Nowell, the son of original Sublime singer Bradley Nowell.

The tour kicks off April 11 in Catoosa, Okla., and runs until Sept. 14 in Kansas City, Mo. Sublime With Rome, which formed in 2010 to carry on Sublime’s legacy after Bradley Nowell’s death in 1996, will also release a final single titled “Love Is Dangerous.”

The dates for Sublime With Rome’s farewell tour overlap with Sublime’s dates with Nowell. Sublime — that is Nowell, Gaugh and Wilson — will perform at Coachella on April 13 and 20. Sublime With Rome will be in Texas, Connecticut and New Jersey during those dates.

Ramirez said in a statement, “I’m beyond excited to announce our upcoming farewell tour! As we gear up to hit your city, the excitement is brewing. Get ready for an epic night filled with not only the Sublime hits but a special focus on never-before-heard SWR originals. This tour is a unique opportunity to celebrate the incredible journey we’ve had together with our fans. Join us for an unforgettable evening as we reminisce and create lifelong memories.
