Suga will become the first BTS member to embark on a solo tour, with a slate of dates scheduled around the world this spring, including a U.S. run. The tour is notably being billed under Suga ’s own name, as well as his other stage moniker, Agust D.

The trek will kick off with two shows at the UBS Arena in Belmont Park, New York — outside New York City — on April 26 and 27. Suga will then play one show in Newark, New Jersey, three in Rosemont, Illinois (just outside of Chicago), and three in Los Angeles. The U.S. leg wraps with two gigs in Oakland on May 16 and 17.

While all seven members of BTS are exploring solo projects right now (and completing their mandatory military service ), Suga has been ahead of the curve for a few years now. Back in 2016, he released a debut self-titled mixtape as Agust D, then followed that project up in 2020 with another mixtape, D-2 . Suga’s also done a bunch of production work for other artists recently, including Psy , the Japanese singer Ømi, and his BTS bandmate Jung Kook.

BTS’s Suga Announces Solo World Tour Dates

BTS's Suga Tour Dates

SUGA of the popular K-pop group BTS will hold his first solo world tour. The announcement was made on February 14, 2023 via the global platform Weverse. Suga is the first BTS member to go on a solo tour.

Other BTS members have done solo performances since the June 2022 announcement of their break in group activities. J-Hope performed a solo set for the first time at Lollapalooza in July 2022. Jungkook performed at the 2022 FIFA World Cup’s opening ceremonies in Qatar, singing the song he did specifically for the World Cup, “Dreamers.”

Jin performed his solo song, “The Astronaut,” with Coldplay in Argentina during their world tour. (“The Astronaut” was co-written by Coldplay’s frontman, Chris Martin.) RM had a small, intimate performance for fans in South Korea where he performed songs off his most recent album, Indigo .

Suga’s tour kicks off in Belmont Park, New York on April 26, 2023. The world tour takes place from April through June, with the North American leg stopping in Newark, Rosemont, Los Angeles, and Oakland. After wrapping up in North America, the tour will hit Asia, stopping in Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, South Korea, and Japan.

The mention of Agust D, SUGA’s other stage name, in the tour announcement caught the eyes of BTS fans and heightened the anticipation of his first solo tour. The official title of the tour will be unveiled at a later date.

Tickets go on sale on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at 3:00PM PST on Ticketmaster but, of course, not everyone will get their hands on a concert ticket. According to Ticketmaster, fans who are part of the ARMY membership had to apply for a presale code. Many lucky fans received emails on February 28, 2023 announcing they had been invited to receive a code for the presale.

Ticketmaster offered this explanation via Twitter: “Demand is high, and Tour Organizers are making 100% of tickets available for purchase during the ARMY MEMBER Presale. If all tickets are purchased during the ARMY MEMBER Presale, there will not be any additional sales.”

Not every BTS fan was able to get a code. Those who didn’t were sent an email stating they have been waitlisted.

BTS' Suga Announced His First Solo World Tour

The rapper and singer will hold 11 shows in the U.S.

BTS is set to start their mandatory military service soon, but they’re giving their fans a proper send off before then. In addition to the individual solo projects, albums, and collaborations they’ve all released, Suga will become the first member to embark on his own solo world tour.

The group’s charismatic rapper, songwriter, and producer announced his first-ever global tour on Tuesday, which will take him to cities across the U.S., Southeast Asia, South Korea, and Japan. On his own, the member will play arena stages — and likely sell them out, too. The tour, called Agust D, named after his 2016 solo mixtape and his other stage name, kicks off in late April and will likely wrap up three months later in July with a few dates yet to be announced in Japan.

In the U.S., Suga is scheduled to play huge venues like New Jersey’s Prudential Center and Los Angeles’ Kia Forum — two arenas with a seat capacity of over 17,000. Per the tour schedule, he’s set to play multiple nights in some cities, which will hopefully ease some of the overwhelming fan demand (and ticketing nightmares).

Last we checked, Suga was meant to kick off his military duties in March 2023, but given the scheduling of the tour, that seems to have changed. It is likely he’ll instead enlist following the tour. NME reported that the boyband member will also not enter active duty as previously thought, and will instead fulfill his military requirements as a social service agent.

In addition to his 2016 mixtape Agust D , Suga also released D-2 , his second solo mixtape, in 2020. This tour will finally give him the opportunity to perform both of those projects live. For everything you need to know about attending Suga’s tour from the full tour schedule to how to buy tickets, read on.

Suga of bts announced a historic solo tour. here’s how to get tickets today.

Thanks for contacting us. We've received your submission.

Suga of BTS performs onstage, wearing a white suit with a mic in hand.

For the first time ever, a member of BTS is launching a tour without the rest of the group.

Suga , 29, just announced his international solo tour that will send him to arenas all over the U.S. from April through May , followed by dates in Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Korea and Japan.

The 11-concert North American leg of the tour will kick off in the Northeast when Suga plays back-to-back shows at Elmont, NY’s UBS Arena on April 26 and April 27 .

On April 29, the South Korean icon lands in the Garden State for a huge show at Newark’s Prudential Center .

While there’s no word on whether or not Suga will play original songs he’s recorded as Agust D or BTS tracks, we do know the best way to find out is live .

And if you’re a member of the BTS Army that needs tickets today, we’ve got you covered.

Although inventory isn’t available on Ticketmaster until the Verified Fan pre-sale on Thursday, March 2, fans who want to ensure they have tickets ahead of time can purchase on sites like Vivid Seats before they’re officially on sale.

Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.

Suga 2023 tour schedule

A complete calendar including all of Suga’s U.S. tour dates, venues and links to buy tickets can be found below.

Although Suga has stayed busy over the past few years with BTS, he still found time to release two solo records under the stage name Agust D.

His debut mixtape, simply titled “Agust D,” hit shelves in 2016 and is a bit of a departure from BTS’ smooth, poppy sound. Over eight tracks, Suga asserts himself as a legitimate rapper with urgent, nonstop rhymes over heavy, hook-y beats.

The lead track “Give It To Me” is a true standout and “724148” grows on you with each listen.

Four years later, Suga (well, Agust D) dropped “D-2.”

Here, he reverts to a slicker sound that’s more in step with BTS’ aesthetic.

However, the lead single “Daechwita,” is anthemic trap at its best. Speedy and unrelenting, it may serve as a preview for what to expect at Suga’s live shows.

You can hear both Agust D records here .

Suga may be the only Bangtan Boy on tour this year but that doesn’t mean J-Hope, Jung Kook, V, Jimin, Jin and RM aren’t staying active.

J-Hope has already released two albums — 2018’s “Hope World” and 2022’s “Jack In The Box.”

RM is in the same boat. In 2018, his debut “Mono” dropped; last year, he put out “Indigo” which features Anderson .Paak.

Last October, Jin shared his first single “The Astronaut.”

Jimin is currently developing his first album which we should see in March; Jung Kook recently performed at the 2022 FIFA World Cup Opening Ceremony.

V has also done a bit on his own as well; he allegedly released a single titled “Scenery” in 2019.

Putting a damper on things is the mandatory 18-month military service required for all able-bodied men in South Korea.

Jin was the first to enlist; you can read his story here .

Valentino announces Suga of BTS as the new global ambassador

How to get BTS Suga’s concert tickets in Singapore

bts suga concert agustd world tour singapore LA new york california jakarta bangkok seoul ticket details price bts army gig

Tickets for the concerts will reportedly go on sale to the general public on 3 March 2023. However, those with a BTS Army Membership will have first access on 1 March – via Ticketmaster.

On Valentine’s Day, Suga took to Weverse to clue fans in before the official announcement. “I can’t say much, but yes..let’s see each other at the concert. It’s late now so I’ll be going. Let’s see each other soon,” he said. This follows a video in December where the rapper was seen strutting in a hip-hop 101 class with a private instructor. “I’ve learned some basic hip-hop moves. I’ve suddenly got an interest in learning at the age of 30,” he shared with fans. “I’m taking all kinds of lessons now. I’ve started playing the keyboard again. I’m also taking guitar and dance and Japanese and English.”

It’s been a busy couple of months for BTS. Most recently, J-Hope and RM announced their respective solo albums while Jungkook wowed the world with his FIFA World Cup track Dreams . Jimin is also set to release his debut solo album in March. Meanwhile, Jin performed his single The Astronaut , with Coldplay in Argentina last October to much acclaim. Suga has released two mixtapes Agust D (2016) and D-2 (2020) which are expected to feature in his tracklist. For more information head here .

SUGA

When Suga announced his Agust D tour in February, Japan was notably the only country on the trek whose dates were labeled “to be updated.” Now, BTS fans in the island country have a chance to catch the rapper on his global trek, as the BTS official fan club announced on Friday (March 10) how fans in the country can secure tickets.

BTS’ Suga Announces First-Ever Solo Tour in 2023

The post BTS’ Suga Announces First-Ever Solo Tour in 2023 appeared first on Consequence .

Suga has announced a solo tour, the first member of BTS to embark on such a trek.

The second-eldest member of the Bangtan Boys is expected to follow his bandmate Jin and begin military service in 2023, but that enlistment seems like it will have to wait until at least the end of June. Suga’s “Agust D Tour,” in support of his 2020 mixtape of the same name, will kick off the US leg on April 26th and 27th with a two-night stand in Belmont Park, New York. He’ll play Newark, New Jersey, before heading to Rosemont, IL for three shows, followed by a triple-booking in Los Angeles and wrapping up the American jaunt with two nights in Oakland, California.

Suga will then head to Indonesia for three nights in Jakarta, followed by two-night stops in Thailand and Singapore, ending in his home country of South Korea. Additionally, his agency Big Hit Entertainment has also teased a stop in Japan, with more information coming soon. Peep the full itinerary after the jump.

Members of BTS ARMY will have the first chance to score tickets beginning Wednesday, March 1st. Ticketmaster Verified pre-sale will follow on Thursday, March 2nd, pending ticket availability ( registration is now ongoing through February 23rd at 10:00 p.m. ET).

The best is “Yet to Come,” indeed!   Suga , also known as his solo alias Agust D, will be the first BTS member to embark on a solo world tour! That’s right, the BTS rapper will hit the road in April 2023! So, does this mean we can expect new music from the K-pop star any time soon? Keep reading for everything we know.

Suga/Agust D World Tour: Tickets, Dates

Suga, whose Korean name is Min Yoongi, will kick off his world tour at the UBS Arena in Belmont Park, New York, on April 26 and 27. He is then set for one date in Newark, New Jersey, three in Rosemont, Illinois, and three in Los Angeles. He’ll wrap up the U.S. leg with two shows in Oakland on May 16 and 17.

Following that, he’ll head to Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, South Korea and Japan (with those dates to be announced soon).

The tour is under both his BTS stage name, Suga, and his other stage moniker, Agust D. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on March 3 at 3 p.m. local time.

Shortly after announcing the tour, Suga went live on  Weverse  on Valentine’s Day. “I can’t say much, but yes
let’s see each other at the concert. It’s late now so I’ll be going. Let’s see each other soon,” according to a translation by  @Bora_twts .

And will any of the BTS members be making an appearance at Suga’s tour? J-Hope, who dropped his solo album  Jack In the Box  in July 2022, was asked that very same question during a February 2023  livestream  by a fan, replying coyly: “Well
” before smirking at the camera. Well,  what?!

Is Suga Releasing New Music Under Agust D? Album No. 3 Details

After news of his solo tour hit, many fans were wondering if this meant Suga would be releasing new music beforehand.

ICYMI, Suga has released two albums under solo moniker Agust D, which is the stage name he used before debuting with BTS in 2013. It’s an anagram of Suga, along with DT (D Town) which is a nod to his hometown city of Daegu. He released his first album  Agust D  in 2016 and his second  D-2  in 2020.

While Suga has yet to confirm when album No. 3 will be released, the rapper, who writes and produces his own music, revealed he has been working on a “follow-up” to his D-2  album in an interview with  WeVerse Magazine  from June 2022.

“I think that, when I release an album as Agust D, that’s a solo work with solo promotions, and I feel like I should use the same system that regular groups do when they’re promoting and have a lead single and a B-side,” he explained. “I was thinking a lot recently that maybe I should shoot two music videos: one just there for the visuals, while the other is more focused on the listening experience.”

“I’m working hard on a follow-up to  D-2, ” he added. “There’s still so much I want to do. I have no feel for what kind of music I’m going to be making in my 30s, 40s or 50s, but I want to keep doing music until the day I die.”

Is there a TXT world tour 2024?

Is a new 'Act' on the horizon?

TXT '0X1=LOVESONG (I Know I Love You) feat. Seori' Official MV

Since their debut in 2019, TXT has only been on the rise. The five-member boy group from Big Hit Music has quickly become one of the most popular K-pop groups with hits like “Sugar Rush Ride” and “Chasing That Feeling.”

In that relatively short amount of time, TXT has established itself as a top group in the K-pop industry . As their star grows, they only continue to be in demand; luckily for MOA, it means it’s increasingly likely the group will play a show in a city near you.

The group recently finished up the “Act: Sweet Mirage” tour in late 2023. If you missed those shows, there’s no need to worry because TXT is already gearing up to hit the road once again with a brand-new tour.

Is TXT going on a world tour in 2024?

In March, Big Hit Music announced TXT will be embarking on the “Act: Promise” tour this spring. Though it promises to be a world tour, currently the group only has Korean and U.S. dates scheduled. If you’re located in other countries, you could still be in luck as more tour dates will be announced in the future.

TXT’s most recent tour had the group visiting several countries in Asia alongside tour stops in the U.S. Like many K-pop “world tours,” the group did not play any shows in Europe, Latin America, or Africa, but, hopefully, the soon-to-be-announced tour dates will remedy that. If TXT doesn’t visit your city or you can’t buy tickets, you’ll have the option to stream the Seoul shows online.

The tour will start off with three shows in Seoul before heading to the U.S. a little over a week later. Here are the announced dates so far:

  • May 3, 2024 – Seoul, KOR at KSPO Dome
  • May 4, 2024 – Seoul, KOR at KSPO Dome
  • May 5, 2024 – Seoul, KOR at KSPO Dome
  • May 14, 2024 – Tacoma, WA at Tacoma Dome
  • May 18, 2024 – Oakland, CA at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum
  • May 21, 2024 – Los Angeles, CA at Crypto.com Arena
  • May 22, 2024 – Los Angeles, CA at Crypto.com Arena
  • May 26, 2024 – Houston, TX at Minute Maid Park
  • May 29, 2024 – Atlanta, GA at State Farm Arena
  • June 1, 2024 – New York, NY at Madison Square Garden
  • June 2, 2024 – New York, NY at Madison Square Garden
  • June 5, 2024 – Rosemont, IL at Allstate Arena
  • June 6, 2024 – Rosemont, IL at Allstate Arena
  • June 8, 2024 – Washington D.C. at Capital One Arena

The Bushnell Performing Arts Center in Hartford announced its 2024-25 Broadway series of musicals on Monday.

The slate of shows for the upcoming season includes the Neil Diamond bio-musical “A Beautiful Noise” Oct. 1-6, 2024; the return of Disney’s “The Lion King” Nov. 13-Dec. 1, 2024; “MJ the Musical” Dec. 10-15, 2024; a radically rethought revival of “Peter Pan” Feb. 4-9, 2025; “The Wiz” March 11-16, 2025; “Some Like It Hot” April 29-May 4, 2025; and “Back to the Future the Musical” June 4-8, 2025.

The schedule breaks down to two jukebox musicals, two refreshed and reinterpreted 20th-century musical classics and three musical versions of famous movies (one of them from Disney).

The Bushnell continues its tradition of hosting the first national tours of recent Broadway hits. Two of the shows, “MJ” and “Back to the Future,” are still running on Broadway as their first national tours commence. The Broadway production of “Some Like It Hot” closed in December after running for around a year. “The Wiz,” a revival of the 1974 Black version of “The Wizard of Oz,” is touring before it gets to Broadway, playing The Bushnell less than three weeks before it begins preview performances at New York’s Marquis Theatre.

Besides the seven shows in the subscription season, The Bushnell announced return bookings of two musicals that have already played the venue in recent years: “Les Miserables” from Oct. 29 to Nov. 3, 2024, and the concert-style British history lesson “Six” Dec. 31, 2024 through Jan. 5, 2025. Various tours of “Les Mis” have been coming to The Bushnell since 1989, most recently in 2017. When “Six” happens, it will be only two years since the first tour of the show about the six wives of Henry VIII played The Bushnell in January 2023.

Tickets are not yet available. Bushnell Broadway series subscribers are contacted first about renewing their subscriptions. Then, new subscriptions are offered to those not currently subscribing. Finally, months from now, single tickets will go on sale for the shows.

Kyle Ramar Freeman as Lion, Nichelle Lewis as Dorothy, Phillip Johnson Richardson as Tinman and Avery Wilson as Scarecrow in the revival of "The Wiz" that will head to Broadway right after its pre-Broadway national tour plays The Bushnell in March 2025. (Jeremy Daniel)

Of the seven subscription shows, five are the first national tours of new musicals that have never appeared at The Bushnell. The other two, “Peter Pan” and “The Wiz,” first came to The Bushnell decades ago but in very different forms. This new production of “Peter Pan” has been rewritten by playwright Larissa Fasthorse (Broadway’s “The Thanksgiving Play”), with a particular interest in reworking the original script’s objectionable depictions of Native Americans.

“Some Like It Hot” is based on the 1959 film comedy directed by Billy Wilder and starring Tony Curtis, Jack Lemmon and Marilyn Monroe. It’s not the first time the movie has been turned into a musical. A previous attempt, “Sugar,” by Jule Styne, Bob Merrill and Peter Stone ran on Broadway in 1972 and (retitled as “Some Like It Hot”) played the Shubert Theatre in New Haven in 2002. This new one has a score by the “Hairspray” and TV “Smash” team of Scott Wittman and Marc Shaiman and a book by Matthew López and Amber Ruffin. López has had several of his plays (including the world premieres of “Somewhere” and “Reverberation”) produced by Hartford Stage, which also commissioned (but did not end up producing) his Tony-winning epic “The Inheritance.”

Ruffin, best known as a writer/performer on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” and for her now-defunct “Amber Ruffin Show” on Peacock, also had a hand in the tour of “The Wiz,” adding new material to the show’s book.

It took years, but The Bushnell has finally caught up with the backlog of Broadway series shows whose visits to Hartford were delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic. The last straggler was “The Cher Show,” which was originally scheduled to play The Bushnell in November of 2020 and finally arrived earlier this month. This will likely be the first season since 2021 which has not had to make room for delayed runs of musicals originally planned for previous seasons.

The 2024-25 season begins in the fall. There are still three more Broadway shows coming in the current 2023-24 season: the “Wizard of Oz” prequel “Wicked” April 24 through May 12, “Beetlejuice” May 28 through June 2 and “Funny Girl” June 18-23.

The Shubert in New Haven announced its own 2024-25 Broadway series slate last week with “Tina: The Tina Turner Musical,” “Dear Evan Hansen,” “Clue,” “Mean Girls” and “Ain’t Too Proud: The Life & Times of the Temptations.” All but one of those shows, the non-musical play “Clue,” has already played The Bushnell on earlier tours. Other Connecticut theaters that host Broadway tours, such as the Waterbury Palace, will announce their 2024-25 seasons soon.

For more information on The Bushnell’s upcoming 2024-25 season, go to the venue’s website at bushnell.org .
